Alliteration: The occurrence of the same letter or sound at the beginning of adjacent or closely connected words:
"Feeling fabulous on this fine, fresh and frosty Friday? "
Why not try our ABC alliteration game as a fun way of playing with words? It’s a great game for broadening vocabulary, a fab opportunity to practise using a thesaurus, a quick fire warm-up for a literacy lesson or just a brilliant way of keeping everyone amused on a long car journey.
Simply start with 'A' and take turns to work through the alphabet to create as many alliterative sentences as you can.
We’d love to hear your examples so feel free to post your pursuits of perfect prose below. Have fun!
